Read the original advert
Open the provider’s full listing. Check for explicit sponsorship wording, including restrictions or statements that sponsorship is unavailable. A short search excerpt may omit this information.
Separate the employer from the vacancy
A register match confirms a connection to a licensed employer. It does not confirm sponsorship for every role. If the advert is silent, treat sponsorship as unconfirmed and contact the employer.
Check duties, code and salary
Ask the employer which occupation code applies. Compare the duties with the official guidance and check the salary requirements for that code and your circumstances. A job title or advertised salary alone cannot establish eligibility.
Keep a useful shortlist
Save the original advert URL, employer name, closing date and the recruiter’s answer about sponsorship. Recheck the listing before spending time on a tailored application.
